From June 14th to June 16th, 2024, as part of the 3daysofdesign event, visitors had the exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Brdr. Krüger and LYFA at Bredgade 28B in Copenhagen, where every piece told a story of Danish heritage and pure craftsmanship.
ORIGINS was not merely an exhibition but a celebration of the meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering dedication that had defined Brdr. Krüger since 1886. Showcasing a curated selection of iconic pieces in oiled fumed oak, attendees witnessed firsthand the fusion of modern design sensibilities with time-honored techniques.
ORIGINS delved into the symbiotic relationship between furniture and lightscapes. Each corner and layer of the exhibition was thoughtfully illuminated, accentuating the intricate details and enhancing the ambiance of the space. The immersive experience highlighted the layers of texture and the tactile qualities of raw materials, inviting guests to explore the depth and dimension of wood grains and fabric weaves.
Complemented by LYFA’s latest designs, the textures came alive, casting shadows and highlights that revealed the intricate thoughtfulness behind each creation. Adding another layer of depth to the exhibition, an illustrator artist created canvases that captured the concept behind each piece, providing a visual narrative that further enriched the experience. This interplay between visual and tactile elements enhanced the appreciation of the materials and techniques that define Danish design.
