OEO Studio designed the new café and museum shop within the Designmuseum Denmark. The museum has undergone a comprehensive renovation of the interior of the historic buildings and of sandstone decorations, ‘Amaliegadepladsen’ and all exhibition and guest areas.
Jari Low Tables were used to create new, exciting, and highly functional public spaces at the museum. The tables are shaped as organic circles with rounded soft edges for a smooth touch. The legs have narrowing profiles for a floating appearance.
The interior design was part of a major two-year renovation of the Designmuseum, which showcases Danish design. With its slim silhouette and distinct personality, Pauline Bar Stool reflects the spirit of the mid-century Danish Modern movement.
Designmuseum Danmark opened in 1926 to its current location in Copenhagen. The museum’s main goal from the beginning was to communicate the idea of quality within design. By exhibiting exemplary objects and collections, it seeks to raise the level of Danish industrial products and act as a source of inspiration for people working in industry.
