- means rocking horse in Japanese
This playful character is the brainchild of the Japanese-Danish design duo O&M Design, inspired by the traditions of Danish craftsmanship and Japanese design philosophy.
Mokuba has a delicate expression with a friendly appeal. The horse is made of the best quality beech wood and the tail is made of vegetable-tanned leather.
Mokuba was designed for the 125th anniversary of Brdr. Krüger in 2011 and is produced in a limited edition of 200 numbered pieces, featuring the Brdr. Krüger logo as a certificate of authenticity.
Mokuba meets all safety requirements and is approved by the Danish Technological Institute and is proudly crafted in Denmark.
Takashi Okamura and Erik Marquardsen are inspired by each other’s cultural heritage and differences.
Ideas gallop with “hygge”
The Danish word hygge (sounds a bit like 'hooga') roughly translates to coziness. In essence, hygge means creating a nice, warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people around you.
With its friendly appeal Mokuba is a joy for all ages.
